Here’s a quick rundown of what you can do on the new site:

It’s time to put down the chalk and pick up a fork. We’ve noticed some of you are being a bit too polite about the match-day spreads.
We want your honest reviews. If the sandwiches were a 147-break level of perfection, give 'em a 5. If they were more like a "fouled on the black" level of disappointment, tell us!
Just be fair—don't give a 1-star rating just because you missed a sitter. That’s on you, not the samosas.
The venue with the highest food rating at the end of the season will win some proper prizes, so your reviews actually matter. Feed us the truth!

Get the PoolLeague App on Your Phone! 📱
06 Mar 2026Tired of typing the URL every time you want to check the standings or see if Warren is still awake? You can install this website as a real app on your home screen. It's faster, goes full-screen, and looks much more professional when you're showing off your stats at the bar.
🍏 iPhone (Safari)
Apple likes to be different, so it won’t ask you to install it automatically.
Open this site in Safari.
Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow pointing up).
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
Tap Add. Boom. You’re now an elite app user.
🤖 Android (Chrome)
Android is a bit more direct:
You might see a banner at the bottom saying "Install PoolLeague"—just tap that.
If you don't see it, tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of Chrome.
Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen".
Confirm, and you're good to go.
Note: If you install the app, you won't have to deal with the browser address bar taking up half the screen. It also means you're only one tap away from the Chalk & Talk banter. See you in the app! 🎱

Chalk & Talk: It’s Like WhatsApp, But Without the 2 AM Regrets

We’ve officially rolled out Chalk & Talk, the long-awaited messaging system here in the Torrox Pool League. You'll find it safely tucked in the new Members section on the left.
🎱 What’s it for?
Basically, it’s for all things pool. Organizing those high-stakes knockout games, negotiating fixture dates, reporting what time you'll be at the venue, and having some absolutely elite (but friendly) banter with your fellow competitors.
📱 Why Not Just WhatsApp?
Great question! Chalk & Talk saves you the trouble of handing out your phone number to 158 thirsty pool players. It keeps things private. More importantly, it ensures your pocket doesn’t start vibrating uncontrollably at 2 AM just because Warren is "on one" again after his third pint of Alhambra. Seriously, Warren. Go to bed.
⚖️ The Ground Rules
Because we're sophisticated pool players (and definitely not animals), here’s the deal:
Be polite. A little competitive smack talk is fine, but keep it cleanly off the cushion.
Don’t be a nuisance.
And above all... just be sound to each other.
If someone crosses the line, don’t stress. You can easily click the Report button next to their message. Our admins will descend upon their inbox with the speed and fury of an over-chalked cue. Play stupid games, win a stupid ban from Chalk & Talk.

A quick word from the bloke behind the app
06 Mar 2026I’ve lived in this part of Spain for over 28 years, I’m a bit of a tech geek, and I’ve been playing on and off in the local pool league since the days of Thomas at the Rib House in Torrox. So this little project comes from someone who actually knows the league, knows the people, and knows just how painful some of the old systems can be.
One of the big reasons I built this app was simple, to give our league something cleaner, easier to use, and free from the endless annoying ads on League Republic. No clutter, no nonsense, just the stuff we actually want to see.
It’s also been great to be back playing in the league for my local bar, Pavo Real. Even from the glamorous heights of the B team, I’ve had a brilliant time meeting players old and new, having a laugh, and getting properly back into the local pool scene.
So this app is my small way of giving something back. I hope it makes things easier, looks a lot better, and causes fewer headaches than the old setup.
And now, a very small apology. Since I’ve gone to all this trouble, I’m allowing myself one tiny plug: I also run https://uswitch.energy which helps people in Spain stop overpaying for electricity. So if this app saves you from annoying ads on pool league websites, maybe I can save you from annoying energy bills too.
